Praying For Britney Spears And Lindsay Lohan

"Instead of gossiping about celebrities, how about praying for them?

That's the mission of the Hollywood Prayer Network, a group of more than 5,000 Christians that prays for stars like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan instead of writing them off as lost causes.

Members of the network, which has chapters in 16 U.S. cities and eight countries, see Hollywood as a mission field where converts can sow the seeds of an international revival."

Quotation from the Associated Press

Members of the network aren't the only ones praying for the likes of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Every night I get down on my knees and beg God that these young starlets won't turn over a new leaf; their antics and publicity stunts have provided me with enough material to write countless columns.

Gossiping about the Hollywood bad girls provides instant gratification, while praying for them is a fruitless endeavor. Even if the Pope himself was praying for Britney; I don't think that would be enough to make the pop diva wear underwear.

Are the members of the network so clueless that they really think that a born-again Britney Spears or Paris Hilton will sow the seeds of revival? They may be able to turn from bad girls to good girls, but they will still be bimbos. I can imagine Paris Hilton preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

Jesus is like way cool; He's better than a manicure and massage combined! He's like so hot, in a cool way. Since I trusted in Jesus, I no longer need to buy a new luxury car every other month; it's like I've been driving the same Bentley for six months and I'm cool with that.

Memo to the Hollywood Prayer Network: Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are lost causes; you'd have better luck praying for the salvation of Osama bin Laden.

Hugh Hefner Wants Britney For Playboy

hughhefner AFP Hector Mata

Founder of the Playboy empire, Hugh Hefner, revealed on Thursday (November 15) that he’s interested in talking to Britney Spears about appearing in his monthly men’s magazine and that his partner Holly is “a keeper.”

Talking to Ryan Seacrest on his breakfast radio show in Los Angeles, Hefner was asked about his girlfriend and whether there are any plans to get married and have children.

“She definitely wants to get married,” the 81-year-old explains. “She definitely wants to have children. Yes.”

Seacrest then quizzed what he plans to do about it with Hefner responding, “Well I don’t know. One thing I know for sure is that she’s a keeper and I think this relationship is going to last the rest of my life.”

Hefner also clarified ongoing rumors about Spears potentially doing a photo shoot for Playboy.

"There’s always controversy about her," he says. "The tabloids say some very bad things suggesting we were interested and then we weren’t interested. I just want to clarify the fact that if and when at any time that she is interested, we are interested.”

Britney's Video Shoot Canceled

Britney Spears

Pop wreck Britney Spears has become so unreliable that her video shoot for 'Piece of Me' has been canceled.

The video production team had already prepared for a no-show by Britney and hired a stand in during rehearsals--and possibly for the actual shoot itself.

A source inside Britney’s camp is telling OK! magazine a different story about the cancellation. “The video’s producer was involved in an accident and is not able to film on Friday,” explains a friend of the singer. “They rescheduled it for next week. It’s strictly the production company’s fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time.”

Lies! All lies! I don't buy it for a second. They knew she wasn't going to show up tomorrow, especially because she has another court date scheduled for her child custody battle. I can already predict her day--she's gonna wake up around noon, go to Starbucks and spend the rest of the day shopping and changing outfits. Sometime in her busy day she'll figure out how to run over someone’s foot, hit another car, or run a red light. Oh wait...she already ran over someones foot last night...let's cross that off the checklist.

In more Britney news, they finally figured out why Britney tested positive in her drug test. It turns out Britney has A.D.D and takes Adderall. Very predictable right? So her lawyer is going to argue that the A.D.D med is the reason she tested positive for her drug test.

Britney Spears gave Klum tips on diaper changing

London, Nov 16 - Model Heidi Klum revealed that troubled pop star Britney Spears gave her tips on changing diapers when she appeared uninvited at her Halloween party.

Klum, a mother of three, made the revelation on the Ellen DeGeneres show, ananova.com reports.

She said: 'We were talking about babies and diapers and she explained to me a lot of things about diapers I that didn't know. You know these sticky things on the side? I never knew that they were there. It's very clever. I learned a lot of things.'

Britney Spears to spend £80,000 on surgery

Britney Spears

Britney Spears
is rumoured to have had liposuction as part of plans to undergo £80,000 worth of cosmetic surgery.

The singer reportedly had work done on her hips and bottom while searching for a house in Nevada last weekend.

A friend recently told Closer that Spears wants a tummy tuck and boob job to help shed the weight she has gained since becoming a mother. She also intends to have a nose job and chemical peel.

The source said: "Britney rips pages out of magazines with pictures of the perfect body parts she wants. When she sees so many pictures of her in magazines, it is impossible for her not to scrutinise every detail of her body.

"She is so insecure over how much her body has changed since becoming a mother. She has said she will do whatever it takes to get back to her best, even if that means getting a helping hand through surgery."

It has also been reported that the 25-year-old is being treated by two psychologists in Beverly Hills.

Spears is currently at number eight in the UK singles chart with 'Gimme More'.

Britney Spears' New Video: Surprise, It's Delayed

Britney Spears

Britney Spears' "Gimme More" is beginning its long swoon down the Hot 100, but it looks like Jive Records is still going to try and flog Blackout, with the Bloodshy and Avant-produced "Piece Of Me" set for the album's second single. The media-backtalking song's already getting airplay on New York's top-40 stalwart Z100, and it debuted on the pop charts last week thanks to strong sales. But don't look for a 30-second snippet of the song to show up on TRL anytime soon; the clip that was supposed to be shot Friday has been postponed.

The reason given for the abrupt change in plans? Brit's reportedly failed drug test -- which rumors on the internet have chalked up to everything from asthma medication to amphetamines -- and her scheduled date in court this Friday, when the video -- for her single "Piece of Me" -- had been scheduled to be filmed.

Almost as if they had seen into the future, the video's production team had been preparing for Brit's absence from rehearsals, seeking out a body double to stand in for the troubled singer during rehearsals -- and possibly during portions of the actual shoot itself. However, it appears that even these precautions weren't enough to keep the video moving forward.

But a source inside Britney's camp is telling OK! a different story about the cancellation. "The video's producer was involved in an accident and is not able to film on Friday," explains a friend of the singer. "They rescheduled it for next week. It's strictly the production company's fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time."

An "accident," eh? Well, I guess Jive has to do something with all that money they'd earmarked for Britney to travel between personal appearances.

Pray For Britney Y'all!

Britney Spears

Can Jesus save Britney? Well according to the Hollywood Prayer Network he can, which is why they're holding a mass prayer session for the fallen pop star tomorrow morning at 8:30am at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

We called the network to confirm the prayer session and we were told, "She's a media leader, so she will be apart of the prayer."

I feel like Britney is the modern day Michael Jackson. You know how Michael just checked out of reality and never checked back in? That’s how Britney is, I don't know if she'll ever be 'normal' again. What do you guys think?

Britney offers Heidi diaper-changing expertise

A bad mom as she was said to be, Britney Spears recently stunned mother-of-three Heidi Klum when she offered up her diaper-changing expertise.

The troubled singer showed up uninvited at Klum's annual Halloween party at Los Angeles venue Green Door, but the two quickly bonded over baby talk, media reports said Wednesday.

"We were talking about babies and diapers and she explained to me a lot of things about diapers I that didn't know," said the German supermodel.

Britney then went on to solve the diaper mystery that was perplexing Heidi.

"You know these sticky things on the side? I never knew that they were there. To close them in the front, I was always putting string around. I had no idea," said Klum.

"It's very clever. I learned a lot of things," she added.

Did Britney Get Lipo?

Britney Spears

Word on the block is Britney Spears has been in Nevada for the past 5 days recovering from liposuction.

Spears reportedly had the a non-surgical version of lipo performed on November 10th at the Plastic Surgery Clinic and Spa in Henderson, Nevada and has been holed up there since.

This isn't the first time Britney's had the procedure done. Spears was spotted leaving a plastic surgeons office back in April for the same procedure.

Brit’ Pap Badly Hurt

britney spears,

A photographers’ assistant is injured while chasing the troubled pop star as a US mag says she’s addicted to Liposuction…

Britney Spears has had another problem added to her list- as a Paparazzi following her has been seriously injured.

The unnamed man is a ‘spotter’ for photographers meaning he follows the popstar and tells the paps where she is.

While driving a motorbike in pursuit of Britney he was hit by a car, driven by a photographer, and suffered broken legs, arms and back.

Beverly Hills Police said the popstar had no involvement in the accident.

In separate Spears news US magazine OK! is claiming that she’s addicted to Liposuction.

They say she was caught in Las Vegas this weekend having her fat removed. Nice!

Today on the Britneywatch

There's no question that Britney Spears is going through a rough patch in her life, but that hasn't stopped the pop princess from donating to charities. Spears teamed with paparazzi photo agency X17 to auction a signed copy of her latest CD on eBay. Proceeds will go to UNICEF. At last count, the high bid price was $7,200.

Billy Ray Cyrus is the newest celeb on the "Team Spears" bandwagon. The father of Miley Cyrus and co-star of 'Hannah Montana' extended Britney an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner. He said, "Honey, you are welcome to a Nashville Thanksgiving at our house."

In other news, Spears' camp claims her recent false positive drug test may have been caused by her asthma inhaler. TMZ reports that the drug in question would not have triggered the result. Ex-hubby Kevin Federline will surely use this choice tidbit in the ongoing battle for custody of their two boys.

Even more vehicular trouble is tailing Britney. Not only is the 'Gimme More' singer now claiming that her noticeably plumper lips were the result of a minor car accident, but a photog was seriously injured while chasing her ... again.

Britney passes court-ordered random drug tests

Spears’ lawyer, Sorrell Trope said that the pop star has taken two more steps toward reclaiming joint custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James - passing drug tests and meeting with a parenting guru.

“She has passed her random drug tests. There’s been more than one. They came up negative,” People quoted Trope, as saying.

The attorney also revealed that the 25-year-old singer has also been holding sessions with, and taking advice from, a parenting coach.

Asked if Spears has been cooperating with her court-mandated parenting coach, Trope said, “As far as I know, there have been no complaints.”

He added that the singer’s chances of regaining shared custody of her sons are “good, based on the overall circumstances of the case.”

Lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, who is representing Kevin Federline, Spears’ ex-husband, in the custody battle, was not immediately available for comment.

Last month, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled that Spears is a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of alcohol and controlled substances, and ordered her to undergo twice-weekly random testing.

Two weeks later, the singer was temporarily deprived of custody, with Federline, retaining the physical custody of the boys for now.

Spears has been granted monitored visitation rights with her little boys and must complete a list of orders from the judge overseeing her custody case before her next hearing on Oct. 26.

Blackout - Britney Spears

Where the hell did Ms Spears find time to record an album? Between dopping lank, flashing her cookie, hanging with the slag parade girls like Paris, marriage, annulment, marriage, divorce, bearing two children and losing them, Britney actually recorded an album.

Granted, she has contributed very little to the writing and creative process barring her voice, but Britney Spears is a multi-national industry and if she goes down they all go down.

So with all the drama and skanki-ness in her life, the powers that be could not afford a bad Britney album.

Hence Blackout is the ultimate pop album .

No! I hear you cry, not Britney. But the truth is the parameters of pop are clearly and unashamedly outlined: Immediately accessible, immediately catchy, and lyrics as shallow as a puddle of spit.

Blackout fits into the pop parameter perfectly. Add excellent production and Brit's over-produced, perfectly pop star voice and, sorry Aguilera fans, it's a winner.

The opening line "It's Britney, bitch" sets the tone for an in-your-face album and a Britney who is sexually predatory and also very angry with the world. Buy this album and restore your faith in the American dream. First Rule of Mickey Mouse Club - it's about the music.

Kevin Federline's attorney may seek video of Britney Spears driving with 2 young sons

LOS ANGELES (AP) — There could be more trouble ahead for Britney Spears in her custody battle.
Kevin Federline's lawyer says he may try to subpoena video footage that apparently shows the pop princess running a red light at a Hollywood Hills intersection while driving with their two young sons in the back seat.
Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says he's weighing whether to seek a subpoena from the court Wednesday for the footage, which was posted on the celebrity news Website TMZ.com. Separately, TMZ reported that it was contacted by Kaplan.

Kaplan declined further comment, but the footage could support his request to a Superior Court commissioner to stop Spears from driving when her sons are in her car.

Federline has temporary custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, because Spears has defied court orders.

A message left for an attorney for Spears, Anne Kiley, wasn't immediately returned Monday.
Spears' driving has been an ongoing problem for her.

In 2006, she was photographed driving with Sean Preston on her lap, and authorities visited her home to investigate.

Last month, she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver's license. A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge from an August parking lot crash was dismissed after she paid an undisclosed amount to the car's owner.

Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, were married in October 2004. The two have wrangled in court over custody issues since they split. Their divorce was final in July.

Spears to raise money for Unicef

Troubled pop star Britney Spears has announced that she is going to donate the funds from an auction of her autographed CD to the United Nations (UN).

The Gimme More star has teamed up with a photo agency to put up a signed copy of her latest album Blackout on online auction site eBay.

All funds from the sale are set to go to the international organisation's children's fund, Unicef.

A press release issued by the X17 agency quoted the 25-year-old as saying: "I think it's important to give back and with the release of Blackout, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give the fans a chance to bid on something to help children everywhere."

The auction officially closes on November 19th and so far the highest bid for the CD is $7,200 (£3,490).

Over the past few months Spears has been involved in a bitter custody battle for her two sons, with former husband Kevin Federline.

Previously the judge ruling in the case described the singer as a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of controlled substances and alcohol and ordered her to submit to drug tests every week.

Spears has lost custody of her children and faced court orders regarding drug tests and parenting classes. She was recently awarded visitation rights to meet her sons every week but the court has not yet restored Spears' joint custody arrangements.

Britney to be banned from driving kids

London, Nov 13: Britney Spears may be facing a ban on driving her kids after being caught on tape jumping a red light when her sons were fast asleep in the back of the car.

She was also seen texting on her cell phone while driving.

Spears’ ex hubby Kevin Federline is reportedly set to ask the judge presiding over the couple’s custody battle to ban her from driving their kids Sean Preston and Jayden James.

K-Fed, 29, has asked for an emergency court hearing on Wednesday.

He has already asked for a drive ban claiming Britney missed eight of the 14 random tests that she has been asked to undergo as part of the custody case.

A source said that the former back-up dancer’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan would be arguing that Britney is putting the kids in danger by her driving.

“His lawyer will argue she is endangering her kids,” the BBC quoted the source, as saying.

Under the latest court ruling, Spears is allowed to see the boys three times a week, but must follow an earlier order to undergo mandatory drug and alcohol tests and attend parenting sessions with Federline.

Aguilera blames Britney and Lohan

Christina Aguilera
Pop star Christina Aguilera has accused the likes of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan for their lack of self-control which could help them avoid drugs and alcohol.
The 26-year old singer claimed that the stars led wild lifestyles and showed little regard for the effects their behaviour on their career.
The ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker told Glamour magazine that when a person is 20 or 21 years old there is no boundary and it is then when the limits have to be set.
"When you hit 20 or 21 and you're around drugs and alcohol, everyone has a moment when they like to dabble in it and express themselves,” Contactmusic quoted her, as telling the magazine.
“It's called being young but there is a boundary. You see all of these horror stories about people that have died of drug overdoses, people that have taken it too far and ruined their lives, and for me, I had so many things that I had yet to accomplish,” she said.
“It was just a matter of thinking, I don't want to waste any time, and sticking to the plan,” she added.
Aguilera’s also said that Spears should have stayed in the night before her MTV Video Music Awards performance to ensure her comeback was a success.
"Everyone has their own ways of choosing what's best for them. I have no problem with telling someone, 'Hey, I have to do a show tomorrow. I want to do a good job and be on my game'.
"Sometimes I wish I could go out to a party or a club and just be able to be free, but there's a consequence with the temptation. You know you'll feel it the next day when you wake up. There are too many things I have to accomplish,” she said

Julia feels sorry for Britney’s troubles

Britney Spears
If Britney Spears needs someone to look after her, all she needs to do is go to Julia Roberts, for the actress would like nothing more than to offer the singer some unconditional support.

The Pretty Woman star, in an interview with a magazine, has said that she feels really sorry for Britney’s troubles.

She has also revealed that she would love to watch after the singer. “I see and hear what’s happening to Britney Spears and it’s all I can do not to move her into my guesthouse and say, ‘Okay, this is how it’s going to be!’ And just take care of her,” a newspaper quoted her, as telling the mag.

And while she’s more than ready to take care of Britney, Roberts is not so willing to add another baby to her family. She’s already mum to three kids – twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, who will turn 3 on November 28 and son Henry, who was born in June this year.

“You only have so much energy and you want to put so much energy into each child. I wouldn’t know how to have five kids. And they’re a really good trio, these three,” she said.

Britney Spears ordered to pay Federline's $120,000 legal fees

Britney Spears has been ordered to pay $120,000 in legal fees to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, who was awarded temporary custody of their young sons.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon ordered the pop star to pony up that much of the $154,500 in legal fees that Federline owes to his attorney, according to court papers filed Tuesday.

Gordon made the decision after considering factors including "the notable disparity between the parties' income," the ruling said.

A call to Spears' attorney was not immediately returned.

Court papers released last week show that Spears makes roughly $737,000 per month and spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment. Meanwhile, Federline "indicates that he does not earn any income," the ruling said.

Federline, father of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, receives $15,000 per month in child support and $20,000 in spousal support from Spears.

Britney Spears on Billboard top album chart

LOS ANGELES—The Eagles beat Britney Spears for the top spot on the Billboard 200 Top Albums chart this week.

The rock band's new album "Long Road Out of Eden" debuted at No. 1 on the chart by selling 711,000 copies during its first week of release, Billboard.com reported Tuesday.

Spears' album "Blackout" sold 290,000 copies.

The Eagles' first album in 28 years landed on top after Billboard revised a policy which considers albums sales even when they're only sold exclusively by one retailer.

Billboard changed its policy after Wal-Mart, which had exclusive rights to sell the Eagles album in its stores and on its Web site, agreed to release its sales numbers, Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts said.

Spears' 'Blackout' a whitewash

The first step to approaching "Blackout," the new album by Britney Spears, is to marvel at the mystery of its existence.

Between tending to her legal troubles and nurturing the public's obsession (which she spends half this record whining about), whenever does Miss Spears find the time for creative expression?

The next step is to get real. Honestly, how much work can plausibly be attributed to Spears in the process of making an album with her name on it? Other than one Red Bull-fueled afternoon of singing (poorly) into a microphone and one alcohol-soaked night of writing (poorly) a small portion of this record's self-obsessed lyrics, it seems clear that the only necessity Britney provides to "Blackout" is her own overblown-if-existent personality.

In truth, "Blackout" is the product of a committee of Hollywood image consultants and a dream team of high-profile producers whose job it is to perpetuate the absurd myth that Britney Spears is some sort of artist.

Once esteemed as an innocent but gorgeous backwoods pop princess with an apparently unironic predilection for slut-wear, Spears has since outdone even Madonna as raw meat for scummy tabloids and sassy gossip bloggers. We the people of the 21st century have, accordingly, bore witness to every slight nuance of her rise to power and fall from grace.

We all know what a hot mess she is.

Still, whether you buy into the iconography or despise it, as I do, you've got to give Britney mad props. On and off the stage, she remains what her fans are fond of calling her: "a great entertainer."

That said, considering what "Blackout" aims to do, even the most snobbish of critics must admit it's a success. The booty jams here are sufficiently bootylicious. As expected, they lack the wit and inventiveness of pop contemporaries such as, say, Gwen Stefani, but they are every bit as self-referential and far more danceable.

Fans will drool over the candy-coated electro-pop of "Radar" and giggle at the all-in-good-fun "Freakshow," on which Britney shows a since missing and much welcome sense of humor.

Other highlights include "Piece of Me," about (surprise!) the paparazzi, and "Heaven on Earth," a single as club-ready as they come. Admittedly, the second half of "Blackout" drags a bit, and all the songs start to sound the same. But that's little bother. After all, who ever heard of a Britney fan who listens to an album from start to finish as if at the symphony?

"Blackout," in all its accessible glory, is a paradoxical winner. It's the perfect album of empty fun.

So there you have it. And now I leave you feeling a little ridiculous for reading this many words about a pop icon who has read about this much in her whole life.

See, regardless of what's written about Britney here or in Rolling Stone or in The New Yorker, her fans will proceed as usual. Seriously, I think she could release an album consisting solely of the sound of her children crying and the response would be the same. DJs on Lower Greenville would remix it, drag queens in Oak Lawn would lip-synch to it, and teenage girls in Plano would pillage it for details about making out with Justin Timberlake.

"It's Britney, bitch." That's all that matters.

'What's Posh famous for? Absolutely nothing'

Pop star Lily Allen takes a dig at Victoria Beckham and her obsession with fame. The list of celebrities to have felt her wrath is almost endless.

poFrom Bob Geldof to Paris Hilton, Kylie Minogue to Amy Winehouse, pop star Lily Allen has had an opinion on them all - and usually not a favourable one.

The bad girl has now cleaned up her act and claims she no longer needs to whine. But in an interview with The Mail on Sunday's You magazine, she could not resist one more dig at Victoria Beckham.

Lily, 22, who shot to fame when her single Smile went to No1 last summer, criticised Posh Spice's obsession with fame.

And as she revealed a glamorous new look of her own, Lily accused Victoria of revelling in being famous for no reason. Lily, whose father is actor Keith Allen, said: 'It does make me laugh to see pictures of Victoria Beckham on the front of a magazine.

'I think, "You are not promoting anything, you don't need the money, so all it's about is being famous." And I can never imagine my life being about being famous. I make music, that's what I am here for. I would never go out and court publicity. I am in such a good place, it wouldn't occur to me.'

po1Lily has ditched her summer dresses and trainers for a more sophisticated style and her outlook has changed - so that she feels sorry for celebrities she used to lambast.

She said: 'As I am happier, I can't bring myself to b***h. I find myself jumping to people's defence. I saw Paris Hilton on the David Letterman show and I was like, "Why is he so horrible to her?"'

Lily even called a truce in her long-running feuds with Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole and Peaches Geldof. She said: 'I can't think what "Cherylgate" was about - what a waste of time. Cheryl Cole? Who is she? Just someone from a manufactured band, whereas I write and perform my own music.

'Things are fine between me and Peaches now too: I feel sorry for her, she is a poor little rich girl.' But Lily is worried about the example set by Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan. She said: 'I don't understand it. Why would you want to look up to them? What happened to mothers, sisters and aunts as role models?'

Britney's lavish spending revealed

Britney Spears spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment but does not save or invest any of her £368,000 monthly income, according to court papers.

Documents revealed in the singer's custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline show Britney's expenses include £8,000 for clothes and £51,000 on entertainment, gifts and holidays.

Although she is often photographed eating fast food, Britney declares she spends about £2,379 a month dining out.

The star's financial declaration to the court also shows she pays £24,633 per month on mortgage payments for two houses but spends nothing on education, savings and investments and gives £250 a month in charitable contributions.

Britney pays Federline £7,500 a month in child support and £10,000 in spousal support.

Dancer-turned-rapper Federline's biggest expenses include £3,750 in rent and £3,000 in security, according to his financial papers.

He has a comparably modest monthly budget for clothes - just £1,000. He also spends about £2,500 on entertainment, gifts and holidays, and £750 eating out.

Federline earned more than £250,000 in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals, but after business expenses only grossed £3,718 that year.

The documents also show Britney had to temporarily surrender custody of her sons to Federline because she defied a court order.

In a September 28 order, Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon banned the divorced couple from driving their children unless they were properly insured and had a valid driving licence. The pop star disobeyed the order when she was photographed driving her sons a few days after the order.

What happened to...

britney separs

Reuters/Fred Prouser

britney separs

Britney Spears. Once upon a time, the name brought to mind a beautiful woman who expertly straddled the line between innocence and naughtiness. Not anymore. Her dewy looks and come-hither attitude have vanished under a veil of matted hair and Cheetos dust. So, what happened?

Philosophers can ruminate and scientists can speculate but we doubt there's any one answer. Still, that hasn't stopped people from searching for clues. Queries on "what happened to britney spears?" show no signs of leveling off. In fact, news that some of Brit's former friends are boycotting her new album will likely cause even more folks to wonder where the Cajun chanteuse went off the rails.

Of course, the twice-divorced mother of two isn't the only celeb who has had a change of fortune. Folks are keeping tabs on many different stars who've gone through changes, either negative or positive. Below are the most popular "what happened to..." searches from the past week. Check 'em out, and don't be a stranger.

What happened to...

  • 1Britney Spears
  • 2John Beard
  • 3Jillian Michaels
  • 4Bill Buckner

A few final notes on mysterious whereabouts...

Clearly, a lot of people have heard rumors about the untimely death of Steve from Blue's Clues. Worry not, he's very much alive.

When will poor Bill Buckner finally get some peace and quiet? The former Red Sox first baseman's infamous blunder in '86 still inspires curious searches.

We know what you're thinking -- who the heck is John Beard? Answer -- a former news broadcaster who is no longer on the air. Oh, and Jillian Michaels is an on-again off-again trainer on "The Biggest Loser."

We wish we could tell you "what happened to Kriss Kross" but the rap duo's official website looks like a GeoCities page, circa 1995. Hmm, maybe that's our answer.

Britney vs. Paris: Slutty Costume Smackdown

Britney vs. Paris: Slutty Costume Smackdown

Coming down off your Halloween sugar high? Need a pick-me-up that doesn't involve a dozen Pixy Stix and a Red Bull chaser? Look no further than the eye-opening costumes donned this Oct. 31 by Britney Spears and Paris Hilton (just don't look too long or corneal damage could result). Now, relive the horror of the year's scariest holiday as you cast your vote:

Poll: Which costume puts the "lame" in "shameless"?

Britney. We're just not feline (groan) her more-paunchy-than-raunchy trashy tiger look, mostly because it's not all that different from what she usually wears.

Paris. If she thinks dressing up in a camouflage minidress, creepy contacts and garters is a patriotic "shout out" to the troops (no really, that's what she said), she should be court-martialed down from General Tacky to Major Bimbo.

The most feared woman in Hollywood

Chelsea Handler is finally hitting the big time.

Handler has been around the stand-up scene for about 10 years having appeared on Girls Behaving Badly, the Chelsea Handler Show and now hosting Chelsea Lately - E!'s late night talk show.

She's one of my favorite funny ladies, and this month Chelsea Handler graces the cover of L.A. Direct Magazine.

Inside she talks about the "Hollywood train wrecks" like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

While Chelsea might be "The Most Feared Woman in Hollywood," she promises she won't attack any of the IT girls on her show... “unless it’s one of those stupid girls from The Hills."

L.A. Direct Magazine is on stands November 1st, and Chelsea Lately airs nightly on E!

BRITNEY SPEARS SPEAKS OUT IN INTERVIEW

Britney Spears spoke about her parenting skills and attacked her critics during a brief interview on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show broadcast from Los Angeles, California, Wednesday (October 31).

During the seven-minute interview, Seacrest asked Spears whether she was doing all that she could for her children, to which Spears replied, "Oh, God, yeah."

"People say what they want and do what they do and it's sad how people, how cruel our world can be," she said. "At the end of the day ... you've just got to know in your heart that you're doing the best you can and that's basically it."

Yet, when Seacrest asked Spears how often she would see her two boys, the singer replied, "That's like, all in the court. Stuff like that, my lawyers know all that stuff."

The interview ended as quickly as it began when Spears left to take a shower, leaving Seacrest on the line with her assistant, Alli Sims.

Britney Spears says our world is 'cruel'

Spears - Says that she is trying her best

Pop singer Britney Spears has claimed that we live in a "cruel" world while giving her first interview since her child custody battle began.

The 25-year-old singer spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on KIIS FM, a Los Angeles-based station.

When asked if recent reports about her parenting skills bothered her, Spears said: "People say what they want and do what they do. It's sad how people... how cruel our world can be."

"But at the end of the day you got to know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can."

"You just try to keep doing what you do and as long as you know what's up and you know what's true, that's all that really matters," she said.

When Seacrest asked Spears if she was doing everything that she could for her two children, she replied: "Oh God, yes."

Spears was later asked how often she was allowed to see her sons. She replied: "That's like all in the court, stuff like that. My lawyers know all that stuff."

On Tuesday last a Los Angeles court commissioner ruled that Spears can visit 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James three times a week with a court monitor present.

Britney Stops Interview ... To Take a Shower!

Britney Spears did an interview with KIIS-FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" this morning ... but apparently that didn't fit into her morning routine. In the middle of the interview Brit Brit handed the phone to her cousin/assistant/professional friend Alli, and jumped in the shower! A girl's gotta get clean, y'all!

Before bathing, Ryan asked when she'd see her kids. Britney had no clue, answering, "My lawyers know about all that." Ummmm...

BRITNEY SPEARS IS ONE OF THE TOP 10 THINGS THAT OFFENDED US THIS WEEK

We have come to the conclusion that America has become the über-sensitive nation of the world, getting offended and blowing just about anything out of proportion – whether sex on TV or a washed-up pop “singer” barely holding on to her sanity and custody of her kids.

While it is hard to offend us, we seem to be able to find certain tidbits that make us want to force your spoiled brat to watch a TV show rated TV-MA.

We are offended that:

1) “Singer” Britney Spears went on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show and complained, “It's sad how cruel our world can be.” Yeah, imagine how cruel the world is when you’re not rich and famous, you mindless dolt. Now, put some panties on, stay away from the drive-thru and get your s#@! together.

2. Ashley Olsen wants to play Ashton Kutcher to Lance Armstrong’s Demi Moore. The unlikely duo, with a 15 year age difference, was spotted making out at Gramercy Park Hotel bar in New York. Well, that’s what the tabloids say anyway. Perhaps Armstrong was just mackin’ on an upside-down broomstick.

3. A very pregnant Nicole Richie is denying reports that she was caught smoking. Duh. That wasn’t a cigarette; it was her feeding tube!

4. Hip-hopper Kanye West is writing a book titled THANK YOU AND YOU’RE WELCOME. We think it’s about a boy who goes to wizarding school …

5. Women who try to turn everything into a sexy costume for Halloween are ridiculous. Look if you want to dress like a slut, then just be a slut, dammit! No one wants to see your sexy garbage man costume or your sexy pumpkin costume, in which you paint your body orange and wear a black bikini.

6. No charges will be filed in the fight between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards in September. Turns out that they are both guilty of irrelevancy and that’s punishment enough.

7. NBC is working on a spin-off of THE OFFICE. Did they learn nothing from JOEY?

8. Star magazine is reporting that Jessica Simpson and Owen Wilson recently went out on a date. Hey, nothing cures depression like a nice, quiet, unintelligent dinner with a blonde and her ginormous knockers.

9. South African police are investigating abuse allegations at the Oprah Winfrey’s all-girls school near Johannesburg. Allegedly, the girls were forced to watch Oprah and Dr. Phil’s talk shows all day.

10. Reality show star Kim Kardashian went on Tyra Banks daytime chat fest a few weeks ago claiming she wanted to put her sex tape behind her. Well, nothing does that better than taking it all off for Playboy, right? Smart move, Kim. You really are on your way to becoming the next Paris Hilton. Be on the lookout for Kim’s next project: a DUI and followed up by a stint in jail.

Britney shows her dark side

After four years away from the music industry, "Blackout" is Britney Spears' declaration. She's back, bad and hornier than ever.

"Blackout" is fast, dark, sexy and catchy as hell. Almost every track is designed for dancing at the clubs.

Spears launches the album with her current single "Gimme More," which has already proved successful. The track is one of iTunes' top ten downloads and is now No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Throughout the twelve-song collection, Britney experiments with distorted synthesizers, layered vocals and heavy beats.

Britney taps into the 1980s and joins the likes of Rihanna and Marilyn Manson as artists who can't get enough of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love."

With "Radar," Britney presents the first of three themes throughout the album: boys. The lyrics are simple: "you're on my radar," but the song is one that will inevitably get stuck in your head.

The second theme, Britney dealing with living in the spotlight, is highlighted in the song "Piece of Me".

Singing "I'm Miss bad media karma, another day, another drama" before provoking "You want a piece of me?" in the chorus, the song is a direct response to all of the bad press she has received over the past year.

The blissful "Heaven on Earth" sounds like something people would expect from Britney. Her breathy vocals echo the definition of that perfect someone. This song is reminiscent of Britney's older charming, flirtatious style compared to the sex-driven design of her later recordings.

The final theme, sex, is exemplified through "Get Naked (I Got a Plan)." Produced by Danjahandz (who also worked on "Gimme More"), it could have been produced by Timbaland. The song is a regurgitation of his style. Though this song may not be original, it has the same effect as a Timbaland project and should be destined for success.

"Break the Ice," "Toy Soldier" and "Ooh Ooh Baby" stand out for combining heavy beats with progressive melodies. Together they create the perfect balance to groove to.

In addition to the many producers utilized on this record (Pharrell Williams, Bloodshy & Avant, and Danjahandz), Britney worked with other artists such as T-Pain, who collaborated on "Hot as Ice."

The whole album musically illustrates Britney's descent from wholesome pop star to fame-tainted media victim. Still, "Blackout" shows a lot of artistic growth as it successfully employs a new side of Britney - "Blackout" is Britney's dark side.

Britney Spears Becomes Newest Bush Presidential Advisor

New Bush Policy Advisor

President Bush announced in a special Rose Garden ceremony that Britney Spears was chosen and has accepted the position recently vacated by Karl Rove of Chief Political Advisor to his Administration.

He said that this choice was made to take advantage of her tremendous interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with others. She will be in charge personnel, Congressional and media relations, and policy advice especially to the Pentagon concerning the war in Iraq.

A close Presidential source who wishes remain nameless said that the choice was made very quickly and is intended to boost the Presidents poll ratings and also to distract attention from other matters plaguing the White House. The source said that among others who were considered for the position were Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan but they were rejected as they are not in the news much anymore.

Britney Spears was contacted outside a courthouse in Los Angles concerning the new appointment and she said, "What's up bitch," and "Huh, that's right." She was unable to provide any further information as she had to attend a court hearing regarding her children.

A source close to Ms Spears said that this will fix that fuc_ing judge and get my kids back or he will never be considered for a Federal appointment to any court. Also, that dumbass Kevin had better watch out or the Secret Service will break his legs.
